Match 60 of the Indian Premier League 2026 will see Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on May 16.

Three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will aim to bounce back after suffering a narrow defeat against RCB in their previous outing. After a poor start to the season, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side have recovered impressively, winning four of their last five matches.

Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, are one of the most dominant teams in IPL 2026 at the moment. They are currently on a five-match winning streak and will look to seal their playoff qualification with another victory.

Predicted Playing XI

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Top-order: Ajinkya Rahane (C), Finn Allen, Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Finn Allen remains one of KKR’s most dangerous batters in the powerplay overs due to his fearless strokeplay and explosive hitting ability. The New Zealand batter can completely change the course of a match within a few overs and will once again be crucial at the top.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane, however, has struggled for consistency this season and will be eager to deliver a solid performance at Eden Gardens. The young Mumbai batter Raghuvanshi regained his form in the previous match against RCB with a brilliant knock of 71 and will look to carry that momentum forward.

Middle-order: Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Anukul Roy

Cameron Green is expected to continue playing a vital role in KKR’s middle order. After a slow start to the campaign, the Australian all-rounder has gradually found rhythm with both bat and ball.

Rinku Singh remains KKR’s designated finisher and is coming into this game after playing a useful cameo against RCB. Veteran batter Manish Pandey adds stability and experience to the middle order, while Anukul Roy has impressed with his disciplined spin bowling and handy contributions with the bat.

Bowlers: Vaibhav Arora, Saurabh Dubey, Kartik Tyagi, Umran Malik, Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine has once again been one of KKR’s standout performers this season, picking up 11 wickets while maintaining an impressive economy rate of 6.64. Kartik Tyagi has emerged as their leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets and has consistently delivered breakthroughs in crucial moments.

Young pacer Saurabh Dubey impressed on debut against RCB and is likely to retain his place. Express pacer Umran Malik is also expected to make his KKR debut and could add serious pace to the bowling attack alongside Vaibhav Arora.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):

Ajinkya Rahane (C), Finn Allen, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Vaibhav Arora, Saurabh Dubey, Kartik Tyagi, Umran Malik

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Top-order: Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (WK)

GT are expected to continue with their highly successful opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Both batters have been among the leading run-scorers this season, with captain Gill scoring 467 runs while the southpaw smashing 501 runs.

Jos Buttler, however, has experienced a slight dip in form recently, managing only 124 runs in his last five innings. Despite that, the England wicketkeeper-batter remains one of GT’s most dangerous match-winners in the top order.

Middle-order: Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Nishant Sindhu, Rahul Tewatia

Washington Sundar has cemented his role in the middle order after scoring his second half-century of the season in GT’s previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball gives Gujarat crucial balance.

Jason Holder’s arrival has significantly strengthened GT’s campaign. The West Indies all-rounder has been exceptional with the ball, taking 13 wickets in just six matches at an economy rate of 6.35. Nishant Sindhu and Rahul Tewatia provide additional depth and flexibility in the middle order.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj

GT’s bowling attack has arguably been the best in IPL 2026 so far, with nearly every bowler contributing consistently throughout the tournament. Kagiso Rabada has led the charge with 21 wickets and currently sits among the leading wicket-takers this season.

Rashid Khan has continued to dominate in the middle overs with 16 wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have also delivered crucial performances with the new ball. Arshad Khan adds further variety to a well-balanced bowling unit.

Who Are the Three Bowlers That Could Decide the PBKS vs RCB Match 61 Outcome?

Three bowlers will decide this match before the batting headlines get their moment. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the most dangerous new-ball operator in IPL 2026. Yuzvendra Chahal knows RCB’s top order better than anyone currently wearing a PBKS cap. Arshdeep Singh holds the death-overs key at a venue where finishing is never clean. If one of these three delivers a defining spell, their team wins. That’s how tightly these sides are matched, and that’s why the bowling battle at Dharamsala tonight matters more than the batting headlines suggest.

How Does a DC vs RR Match 62 Win Change Delhi’s Fading Playoff Qualification Path?

A win tonight takes Delhi from 10 points to 12, alive in the race with one knockout fixture still to come against KKR. Lose, and the season is done. Not officially, but done. That’s how narrow Delhi’s window has become in IPL 2026. They sit seventh on the points table, carry a Net Run Rate of -0.993 that makes any late recovery through NRR almost impossible, and have just two games left to change the math entirely. Tonight at Arun Jaitley Stadium, what happens in the next three and a half hours will define their campaign.

Why is the PBKS vs RCB Match 61 the Perfect Chance for Punjab to Avenge Their 2025 Final Defeat?

It is five consecutive losses, 13 points, two games left, and the team that beat them in last year’s final, standing between Punjab and the playoffs. No fixture on PBKS’s remaining schedule carries this combination of history, stakes, and urgency. A win today doesn’t just keep the season alive; it settles something that’s been sitting unresolved since a Narendra Modi Stadium night in 2026, when six runs separated Punjab from a title. That debt hasn’t gone anywhere. Tonight at Dharamsala, PBKS get their first real chance to collect.

OTD 2017 – The highest partnership in women’s ODI history

The Indian men‘s team has had some iconic partnerships over the years. From Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar to Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, India have been blessed with some fabulous opening pairs. Even down the order, the several match-winning partnerships between Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni have stood the test of time. However, the Indian women’s team also have some partnership accolades to cherish. The Indian team holds the record for the highest partnership in Women’s ODIs. Deepti Sharma and Punam Raut achieved this feat on May 15, 2017, against Ireland at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. This match was a part of the Women’s Quadrangular Series in South Africa. India, South Africa, Ireland, and Zimbabwe were the four teams that participated in this multi-nation tournament. Talking about the aforementioned encounter, Indian captain Mithali Raj won the toss and opted to bat first. Deepti Sharma opened the batting along with Punam Raut. The latter played conservatively, while Deepti took the attack to the cleaners. Deepti also took more of the strike and was eventually dismissed in the 46th over after scoring a magnificent 188 runs off 160 balls with the help of 27 fours and two sixes. She finished with a strike rate of 117.50. Raut, on the other hand, retired hurt soon after for an individual score of 109 off 116 balls, belting 11 boundaries. The partnership between Deepti and Punam yielded a record 320 runs. They comfortably broke the previous record for the highest partnership in Women’s ODIs, which was set by England’s opening pair of Sarah Taylor and Caroline Atkins against South Africa at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. They had forged an opening stand of 268. After Deepti and Punam made way, Shikha Pandey was promoted up the order, and she smashed 27 runs off just 14 balls with the help of four boundaries. The Women in Blue finished on a commanding total of 358/2 in 50 overs. In reply, Ireland Women got off to a sedate start as openers Mary Waldron and Leah Paul added 42 runs inside 17 overs. However, once India got the first breakthrough, the Irish batters to follow couldn’t provide much of a resistance. Wickets fell one after the other as the Indian bowlers had a field day. Eventually, the European side was bowled out for just 109 in 40 overs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad was the pick of the Indian bowlers, finishing with stunning figures of 4/18 in eight overs. Pandey also bagged a three-for in her nine-over spell. Deepti showcased her all-round skills by bowling tightly and picking up the wicket of Paul, who was the first Irish batter to be dismissed in the match.

Andrew Symonds is one of the finest white-ball players to have represented Australia. He was a destructive batter who could hit some towering sixes and a multi-skilled bowler who could bowl off-spin as well as medium pace. Which Team’s Powerplay Tactics Provide the Real Edge in KKR vs GT Match 60?

Gujarat Titans own the powerplay edge in this fixture, a 4-1 head-to-head lead, a dominant recent run of form, and a bowling unit built to strangle KKR’s top order before the field opens. However, Eden Gardens introduces a major variable that GT hasn’t fully tested yet: heavy second-innings dew, which can neutralize spin control and tilt the chase heavily in KKR’s favour.

What Selection Changes Must Pakistan Make to Turn Around the BAN vs PAK 2nd Test?

Pakistan needs two changes that fix the same structural problem: a left-handed opener at the top and a left-arm spinner in the attack. The 163-run collapse at Mirpur wasn’t bad luck; it was a batting order that handed Taijul Islam a predictable angle for 90 consecutive deliveries. Moving to Sylhet makes the problem worse. A surface that turns sharply from Day 2 and deteriorates faster than Mirpur demands a line-up built to disrupt spin lines, not absorb them. Pakistan’s WTC final qualification depends on what their selectors decide before the toss on May 16.
