Southern Brave Women will face Trent Rockets Women in Match 29 of The Hundred Women’s 2026 at Trent Bridge. The Brave have assembled one of the strongest squads in the competition, with a combination of experienced internationals and promising young players giving them plenty of options across departments.
However, the team will have to make at least one adjustment following the injury to Jemimah Rodrigues, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with a hamstring problem. Southern Brave have named Charli Knott as her replacement.
With that in mind, here is the predicted Southern Brave Women XI for Match 29.
Maia Bouchier should open the innings for Southern Brave. The England international is an aggressive top-order batter who can put pressure on the opposition during the opening sets. Her ability to score quickly makes her an important component of the Brave’s batting strategy.
Lizelle Lee is likely to partner Bouchier at the top. The South African brings enormous experience and power to the line-up and is capable of taking advantage of fielding restrictions. Her ability to clear the boundary makes her a dangerous opening partner for Bouchier.
Laura Wolvaardt should occupy the No. 3 position. The South African is one of the most technically accomplished batters in women’s cricket and provides stability around the more aggressive players. She can anchor the innings while still maintaining a healthy scoring rate.
Sophie Molineux is expected to lead the side and provide balance as an all-rounder. Her left-arm spin gives Southern Brave a reliable middle-overs option, while her batting allows the team to maintain considerable depth.
With Rodrigues unavailable, Charli Knott could come into the XI. The Australian all-rounder has previous experience in The Hundred and can contribute with both bat and ball. Her inclusion would help Southern Brave maintain flexibility following the injury-enforced change.
Phoebe Franklin could provide further batting depth in the middle order. The all-rounder offers a useful seam-bowling option and gives the Brave another player capable of contributing in multiple departments.
Bex Odgers could take the wicketkeeping gloves. Her presence would allow Southern Brave to retain their preferred balance while giving the middle order another player capable of rotating the strike and accelerating late in the innings.
Sarah Glenn should be one of Southern Brave’s primary spin options. The leg-spinner possesses considerable experience in white-ball cricket and can be particularly effective during the middle phase, where her variations can restrict scoring and create wicket-taking opportunities.
Lauren Bell is expected to spearhead the pace attack. The England seamer’s height, bounce and ability to swing the new ball make her one of Southern Brave’s most important bowlers. She will be particularly valuable against Trent Rockets’ aggressive opening pair.
Issy Wong could provide the second pace option. The England quick’s ability to generate pace and attack the stumps gives Southern Brave another wicket-taking threat, while her variations can also prove useful towards the back end of the innings.
Tilly Corteen-Coleman could complete the XI. The young left-arm spinner offers another option in the middle overs and gives captain Molineux greater flexibility when managing the bowling attack.

The biggest selection question is likely to revolve around the balance of the middle order following Rodrigues’ injury. Southern Brave’s official 2026 squad also contains Ellie Anderson, Daisy Gibb, Jodi Grewcock, Naomi Dattani and Katherine Fraser, giving the management several alternatives.
The Brave’s biggest strength remains their wealth of international quality. Wolvaardt and Lee provide experience at the top, Molineux offers all-round balance, while Glenn, Bell and Wong give the bowling attack considerable variety.
Against a strong Trent Rockets side, Southern Brave will need their top order to provide a quick start and their bowlers to make early inroads. If this predicted XI performs to its potential, the Brave should have enough quality across all departments to pose a serious challenge at Trent Bridge.
The official playing XIs will, of course, be confirmed at the toss, so any late squad changes or tactical decisions could alter this combination.
