Match 67 of the Indian Premier League 2026 will see Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on May 22.

Defending champions RCB currently sit at the top of the table with 18 points and will look to seal a place in Qualifier 1 with another win. Sunrisers Hyderabad, meanwhile, are just behind them with 16 points and remain one of the most dangerous batting sides in the tournament.

Predicted Playing XI

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Top-order: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (wk)

Sunrisers Hyderabad possess arguably the most explosive opening combination in IPL 2026. Abhishek Sharma has been sensational at the top of the order, scoring 507 runs at an incredible strike rate of 201.99.

Travis Head continues to be the heartbeat of SRH’s aggressive batting blueprint. The Australian left-hander has provided blazing starts throughout the season and remains one of the most destructive batters against pace bowling.

Ishan Kishan has added further firepower to the top order while also handling wicketkeeping duties efficiently. The left-hander has amassed 490 runs this season at a strike rate of 179.48 and has formed a dangerous combination alongside Head and Abhishek.

Middle-order: Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora, Smaran Ravichandran, Nitish Kumar Reddy

Heinrich Klaasen has once again proven why he is one of the finest T20 batters in world cricket. The South African wicketkeeper-batter has scored 555 runs in just 13 matches and currently sits third in the Orange Cap race.

Salil Arora has received consistent backing from the SRH management despite a quiet campaign so far and will look to make an impact in this crucial encounter. Youngster Smaran Ravichandran is another player who has struggled for consistency but continues to provide depth to the batting lineup.

Nitish Kumar Reddy plays a vital all-round role for Hyderabad. The talented youngster has contributed 235 runs with the bat while also picking up seven wickets with the ball.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins (capt), Shivang Kumar, Eshan Malinga, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge

Captain Pat Cummins remains the leader of SRH’s bowling attack and has made an immediate impact since returning to the side. The Australian pacer has taken eight wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 8.13. Apart from his bowling, Cummins’ leadership and lower-order hitting add tremendous value to the side.

Shivang Kumar provides the spin option in the lineup and offers variation during the middle overs. Eshan Malinga has emerged as SRH’s premier wicket-taker this season with 17 wickets and has consistently delivered breakthroughs in crucial phases.

Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge complete the pace attack and have impressed with their disciplined performances throughout the tournament.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Predicted XI:

Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (wk), Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora, Smaran Ravichandran, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Pat Cummins (capt), Shivang Kumar, Eshan Malinga, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge

Impact Player: Travis Head

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Top-order: Venkatesh Iyer, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal

Royal Challengers Bengaluru could make an interesting tactical change at the top of the order for this clash. Venkatesh Iyer is expected to partner Virat Kohli at the top following his unbeaten 73-run knock in the previous match. The left-hander’s aggressive intent provides additional balance to the batting lineup.

Virat Kohli has once again been the backbone of RCB’s batting setup. Devdutt Padikkal adds further stability to the top order and has played important supporting knocks throughout the campaign. His ability to anchor the innings while maintaining a healthy strike rate gives RCB flexibility during the powerplay.

Middle-order: Rajat Patidar (capt), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya

Captain Rajat Patidar has enjoyed one of his finest IPL seasons so far. The stylish right-hander has scored 337 runs at a strike rate of 192.57 and has consistently delivered under pressure for the defending champions.

Jitesh Sharma’s form remains a concern for RCB, with the wicketkeeper-batter managing just 90 runs this season. Tim David and Romario Shepherd provide explosive finishing abilities in the lower middle order, while Krunal Pandya’s all-round contributions continue to be extremely valuable for the side. Krunal has chipped in with important wickets while also playing crucial cameos with the bat.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma

RCB’s bowling attack has been one of the biggest reasons behind their successful campaign this season. Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is currently the Purple Cap holder with 24 wickets and has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence with the ball.

Josh Hazlewood has provided excellent support alongside Bhuvneshwar and has consistently troubled batters with his accuracy and bounce. Spinner Suyash Sharma has also impressed with his control during the middle overs and remains an important wicket-taking option.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Predicted XI:

Venkatesh Iyer, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (capt), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma

Impact Player: Jacob Duffy

Top 3 performances of Erapalli Prasanna in international cricket

Erapalli Prasanna’s greatness cannot be measured merely through numbers. Off-spin, in his hands, became an exercise in patience, manipulation and nerve. In an era crowded with outstanding spin bowlers, Prasanna stood apart for the purity of his craft.

What Could the PBKS Predicted Playing XI Look Like for LSG vs PBKS IPL 2026 Match 68?

Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya open. Shreyas Iyer anchors the middle. Arshdeep Singh takes the new ball. That’s PBKS’s skeleton in 2026, and Match 68 at Ekana gives them no reason to break it. The one real decision is the impact sub. Marcus Stoinis comes in as the batting cover when PBKS bowl first. At Ekana, LSG’s home, that outcome is the most likely scenario, and Stoinis is your extra batter.

Why Arshdeep Singh vs Mitchell Marsh Is the Duel That Defines LSG vs PBKS IPL 2026 Match 68?

Arshdeep Singh has dismissed Mitchell Marsh twice in IPL, both times for zero. Marsh has since scored 563 runs this season and posted 111 off 56 at the very ground where Arshdeep sent him packing in the first over last year. One man is the competition’s leading run-scorer. The other is the bowler who has found his edge twice already. Match 68 at Ekana opens with this contest, and whoever wins it shapes everything that follows.

Gloucestershire will almost certainly open with D’Arcy Short and Miles Hammond, stack the middle order with Cameron Green or Marchant de Lange, and hand the bowling to de Lange and Matt Taylor at Sophia Gardens. David Payne’s absence changes the bowling equation entirely. He took 17 wickets in the 2025 Blast and isn’t here. GLO have beaten Glamorgan twice at this ground in two years.
