Kieron Pollard remains one of the greatest match-winners in the history of the Indian Premier League. A true legend of Mumbai Indians, Pollard played a major role in transforming the franchise into one of the most successful teams in IPL history.

Having joined Mumbai Indians in 2010, the explosive all-rounder spent 13 seasons with the franchise, winning five IPL titles and two Champions League T20 trophies. Across his IPL career, Pollard scored 3412 runs and picked up 69 wickets while delivering countless memorable performances under pressure.

Here are top three performances of Kieron Pollard in IPL:

60* (32) vs CSK, IPL 2013

One of Pollard’s most iconic innings came in the final of the IPL 2013 Final against Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Mumbai Indians were struggling badly after losing regular wickets and found themselves under immense pressure while batting first. Pollard stepped up when his team needed him the most and produced a brilliant unbeaten knock of 60 runs off just 32 balls. His innings included seven boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 187.50. Thanks to his rescue act, Mumbai Indians managed to post 148/9, which appeared below par at the halfway stage.

In response, Chennai Super Kings failed to build momentum despite an unbeaten 63 from MS Dhoni. Mumbai’s disciplined bowling attack restricted CSK to 125/9 to secure the franchise’s maiden IPL title. Pollard also contributed with the ball by picking up a wicket, capping off a memorable all-round display in the biggest game of the season.

66* (27) vs SRH, IPL 2013

Earlier in the same season, Pollard delivered another breathtaking performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Chasing a challenging target of 179, Mumbai Indians required a special innings to stay in the contest. After Shikhar Dhawan scored 59 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai faced pressure during the chase. Pollard completely changed the game with a sensational unbeaten 66 off only 27 deliveries. He smashed two fours and eight massive sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 244.44.

His clean hitting left the opposition bowlers helpless as Mumbai chased down the target with three balls remaining. Pollard’s innings remains one of the most destructive finishing efforts in IPL history and perfectly showcased his ability to dominate attacks single-handedly.

83 (31) vs KXIP, IPL 2019

Pollard produced arguably the greatest knock of his IPL career against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2019 at the Wankhede Stadium. In a high-scoring thriller, Kings XI Punjab posted a daunting 197/4, powered by a century from KL Rahul and a blistering half-century from Chris Gayle.

Mumbai Indians found themselves in trouble during the chase before Pollard, leading the side as acting captain, launched a stunning counterattack. He hammered an unbeaten 83 runs off just 31 balls, smashing three fours and 10 towering sixes at a staggering strike rate of 267.74.

The match went down to the final ball, where Mumbai completed the chase to secure a dramatic three-wicket win. Pollard’s extraordinary innings is still regarded as one of the best IPL knocks ever played under pressure and highlighted why he was considered one of the most dangerous T20 batters of his era.

Why Punjab Kings Lost to Delhi Capitals in the 55th Match of IPL 2026: 3 Key Reasons

Punjab Kings posted 210/5 at Dharamsala. Delhi Capitals chased it in 19 overs. The final margin was three wickets and six balls remaining. PBKS reduced DC to 33/3, then 74/4, and still lost. Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 59 and Priyansh Arya’s 24-ball fifty built a platform that should have been enough. It wasn’t, because Axar Patel’s 56 off 30 balls reversed the match at its most critical moment, and 17 wides gifted Delhi 17 deliveries they shouldn’t have received in a chase won with an over to spare.

What KKR’s Playing XI for IPL 2026 Match 57 Reveals About Their Raipur Spin Trap for RCB

Kolkata Knight Riders arrive at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur with a playing XI designed around one specific insight: this venue rewards smart cricket over spectacular cricket. Large boundaries reduce the value of aerial hitting. The black-soil surface slows through the innings and assists spin. KKR have selected accordingly, with Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine controlling the middle overs, Cameron Green covering two phases simultaneously, and Finn Allen delivering the explosive powerplay start the total needs before conditions tighten.

Which Batter Controls RCB vs KKR IPL 2026 Match 57 — Kohli, Padikkal, or Raghuvanshi

Three batters carry the tactical weight for both sides in Match 57 at Raipur. Virat Kohli has scored 379 runs from 11 innings at a strike rate of 163.36. Devdutt Padikkal has added 328 from 10 innings at 176.34. On the other side, Angkrish Raghuvanshi brings 269 runs from 10 innings with a composure under pressure that his strike rate of 135.85 doesn’t fully capture. Three completely different batting philosophies land in the same fixture. Whichever one the surface and match situation rewards first shapes the total, the required rate, and the result.
