Match 57 of the Indian Premier League 2026 will see Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur on May 13.

Three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders have scripted a remarkable turnaround after a poor start to the season. KKR are currently on a four-match winning streak and have reignited their playoff hopes with dominant performances in recent outings.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru head into the contest after a thrilling last-ball win against Mumbai Indians at the same venue. With both sides firmly in the playoff race, one can expect a high-intensity encounter in Raipur.

Predicted Playing XI

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Top-order: Ajinkya Rahane (C), Finn Allen (IMP), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (WK)

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane will continue to lead from the front at the top of the order alongside explosive New Zealand batter Finn Allen. The hard-hitting opener finally announced himself in IPL 2026 with a sensational century against Delhi Capitals.

Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi is expected to slot in at No. 3 while also taking up wicketkeeping duties. His composure and ability to rotate strike have added balance to the KKR batting lineup.

Middle-order: Rinku Singh, Cameron Green, Manish Pandey, Rovman Powell, Anukul Roy

Cameron Green has gradually regained form after a sluggish start to the campaign, contributing with both bat and ball. Rinku Singh remains KKR’s most dependable batter in pressure situations and will once again shoulder the finishing responsibilities.

Experienced campaigners Manish Pandey and Rovman Powell add solidity and firepower in the middle overs, while Anukul Roy’s all-round abilities provide balance to the side.

Bowlers: Sunil Narine, Kartik Tyagi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Vaibhav Arora

Sunil Narine continues to remain KKR’s trump card with the ball despite not contributing much as a batter this season. Alongside Varun Chakaravarthy, he forms one of the most dangerous spin combinations in the tournament and can choke opposition batters during the middle overs.

Young pacer Kartik Tyagi has emerged as a genuine wicket-taking option for KKR this season with 13 wickets so far, while Vaibhav Arora will be responsible for early breakthroughs with the new ball.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):

Ajinkya Rahane (C), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (WK), Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Kartik Tyagi, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy

Impact Player: Finn Allen

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Top Order: Virat Kohli, Phil Salt/Jacob Bethell

RCB’s opening combination is likely to feature Virat Kohli alongside either Phil Salt or Jacob Bethell. Salt has missed the last few matches due to injury, which allowed Bethell to move up the order and perform the opening duties.

Kohli, meanwhile, will be eager to bounce back after suffering two consecutive ducks this season. The veteran batter remains central to RCB’s batting plans and a big innings from him could prove decisive in this crucial encounter. Devdutt Padikkal is once again expected to be used as an Impact Sub option.

Middle Order: Rajat Patidar (C), Jitesh Sharma (WK), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya

Captain Rajat Patidar has been one of RCB’s most consistent performers this season and continues to anchor the batting unit. However, it was Krunal Pandya who stole the spotlight in the previous match with a match-winning 73 off 46 against Mumbai Indians.

Jitesh Sharma’s poor run with the bat remains a concern for the Bengaluru franchise, while Tim David and Romario Shepherd continue to provide firepower in the finishing overs.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma, Rasikh Salam Dar

RCB’s bowling attack has looked threatening throughout the tournament. Bhuvneshwar Kumar currently holds the Purple Cap with 21 wickets and delivered a match-winning four-wicket haul against MI in the previous game.

Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya are RCB’s joint second-highest wicket-takers this season with 10 scalps each. Youngsters Suyash Sharma and Rasikh Salam Dar have also impressed with their ability to chip in with crucial breakthroughs.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB):

Virat Kohli, Phil Salt/Jacob Bethell, Rajat Patidar (C), Jitesh Sharma (WK), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Suyash Sharma, Rasikh Salam Dar

Impact Player: Devdutt Padikkal

Why Sunrisers Hyderabad Lost to Gujarat Titans in the 56th Match of IPL 2026: 3 Key Reasons

Gujarat Titans posted 168/5 at Narendra Modi Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad were bowled out for 86 in 14.5 overs, losing by 82 runs. Travis Head fell for a duck in over one. Abhishek Sharma departed in over two. By the third over, SRH sat at 23/3, and the match was already shaped. Kagiso Rabada, Jason Holder, and Mohammed Siraj removed seven recognised batters before the 11th over ended. Three phases explain the collapse fully: a powerplay SRH never survived, a bowling unit that conceded control when GT were vulnerable, and a middle-over partnership they allowed to run unchecked.

Which Player Breaks PBKS vs MI Open in IPL 2026 Match 58 — Iyer, Connolly, or Arshdeep

Five players carry the match-defining argument across both sides at Dharamsala. Shreyas Iyer’s 392 runs at a strike rate of 164.01 anchor Punjab’s batting. Cooper Connolly adds 415 runs at 168.01 with a hundred already this season. Arshdeep Singh holds 13 wickets from 11 innings with the new ball. Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh sit in the middle of both departments, offering Punjab flexibility across every phase. Why Punjab Kings Lost to Delhi Capitals in the 55th Match of IPL 2026: 3 Key Reasons

Punjab Kings posted 210/5 at Dharamsala. Delhi Capitals chased it in 19 overs. The final margin was three wickets and six balls remaining. PBKS reduced DC to 33/3, then 74/4, and still lost. Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 59 and Priyansh Arya’s 24-ball fifty built a platform that should have been enough. It wasn’t, because Axar Patel’s 56 off 30 balls reversed the match at its most critical moment, and 17 wides gifted Delhi 17 deliveries they shouldn’t have received in a chase won with an over to spare.
