The 2026 edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) is set to begin on Friday, July 17. Jaffna Kings are going to face the Galle Gallants in the opening encounter at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Apart from these two teams, Dambulla Sixers, Kandy Royals, and Colombo Kaps are also participating. The Sinhalese Sports Club will be hosting the first five matches from July 17 to 19. The caravan will then move to Dambulla for the next nine games. Pallekele will host the last six remaining games in the league phase before the action returns to Colombo for the business end of the tournament. However, instead of the Sinhalese Sports Club, the R. Premadasa Stadium will host these games. The final is going to be held on August 8.
