Antigua and Barbuda Falcons will return to home territory when they take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Match 12 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on Thursday, August 20. The Falcons will be hoping to put together a strong performance in front of their home supporters after an inconsistent start to their campaign.
The Falcons began their campaign with a thrilling two-wicket victory over the Jamaica Kingsmen before suffering a four-run defeat against Saint Lucia Kings in their next outing. They subsequently lost to the Kings again by three wickets in a rain-affected contest. Their early-season form has therefore been mixed, but the return to Antigua provides them with an opportunity to regain momentum.
With several overseas players unavailable during the early stages of the tournament, Antigua have relied heavily on their Caribbean contingent. Pakistan’s Shadab Khan and Sufyan Moqim are unavailable for the first three games, while Moeen Ali’s availability has also been affected by his Hundred commitments. Kusal Perera, however, is available throughout the tournament.
1. Rahkeem Cornwall
Rahkeem Cornwall is expected to retain his place at the top of the order. The powerful all-rounder has already shown his ability to provide Antigua with an explosive start, particularly against spin. His off-spin also gives the Falcons a useful option during the middle overs.
2. Evin Lewis
Evin Lewis is one of the most dangerous batters in the Falcons’ lineup and should continue opening. The left-hander’s ability to dominate the Powerplay makes him a crucial component of Antigua’s batting strategy. He made a brisk 48 against Saint Lucia Kings earlier in the tournament, demonstrating the impact he can have at the top.
3. Tim Robinson
Tim Robinson could continue at No. 3 after featuring in the Falcons’ previous lineups. The New Zealand batter provides stability without compromising the team’s attacking approach. His role will be particularly important if Lewis and Cornwall fail to maximise the Powerplay.
4. Tajinder Singh
Tajinder Singh has emerged as one of Antigua’s most productive batters in the early stages of CPL 2026. He was the team’s leading run-scorer after the opening two matches, with 83 runs to his name. His ability to rotate the strike and accelerate when required makes him an important middle-order option.
5. Karima Gore
Karima Gore could retain his place after featuring in the Falcons’ previous XI. The left-arm spinner can also contribute with the bat, giving the side additional depth. His ability to bowl economical spells could prove particularly useful against a Patriots middle order containing several aggressive hitters.
6. Jahmar Hamilton (WK)
Jahmar Hamilton is likely to continue as the wicketkeeper. The experienced campaigner brings composure behind the stumps and can also provide valuable contributions in the lower middle order. His ability to handle spin could become important if the Patriots employ their formidable slow-bowling options.
7. Fabian Allen (C)
Fabian Allen is expected to continue leading the side in the absence of Moeen Ali. The all-rounder offers Antigua considerable flexibility, with his left-arm spin and aggressive lower-order batting both valuable assets. He will also have an important tactical role against a Patriots side packed with all-rounders.
8. Shamar Springer
Shamar Springer should retain his place as one of the Falcons’ seam-bowling all-rounders. He gives the captain another pace option while adding depth to the batting lineup. His ability to contribute in both departments could allow Antigua to maintain a balanced XI.
9. Usama Mir
Usama Mir could continue as the specialist leg-spinner. His inclusion gives the Falcons a genuine wicket-taking option in the middle overs, particularly against right-handed batters. With the Patriots possessing several aggressive top-order players, Mir’s ability to break partnerships could prove crucial.
10. Alzarri Joseph
Alzarri Joseph remains the leader of Antigua’s bowling attack. The homegrown fast bowler has already made a significant impact in CPL 2026 and was the Falcons’ leading wicket-taker after their opening matches, with six wickets. His pace, bounce and ability to strike with the new ball make him one of the biggest threats to the Patriots.
11. Jayden Seales
Jayden Seales should complete the pace attack. The right-arm seamer can operate effectively with the new ball and return at the death, giving the Falcons a reliable option across different phases. His partnership with Joseph will be crucial if Antigua are to put early pressure on the Patriots’ batting lineup.
