They posted 341/7 and bowled Australia out for 238 to register a 103-run victory. Yashbardhan Chauhan was the star of the second match, smashing 122 off 100 balls, while VK Vineeth contributed 87. Chigurupati Venkata then returned impressive figures of 3/64.
With the series already in the bag, India could consider giving a few players from the squad an opportunity. However, the team management is also likely to retain several in-form players, particularly after their impressive performances in the second game.

Lakshya Raichandani is expected to continue as India’s captain and open the innings. The right-hander scored 11 in the second ODI but remains an important part of India’s top order and leadership group.
With India looking to finish the series strongly, Raichandani could aim for a substantial contribution after getting starts in the opening two matches.
Aaryavir Sehwag should retain his place at the top of the order. The right-hander impressed in the second ODI with a fluent 47 off 48 balls, smashing nine boundaries.
He also made an impact on debut in the opening match, making him one of India’s most consistent performers at the top of the order during the series.
Anvay Dravid could continue as the wicketkeeper-batter at No. 3. He scored a quick 38 in the first ODI but managed only nine in the second.
The youngster will be keen to finish the series with another impactful innings, while his work behind the stumps will remain an important part of India’s setup.
Yashbardhan Chauhan is a strong candidate to continue despite already making a major impact in the series. The vice-captain produced scores of 54 and 122 in the first two matches.
His 122 in the second ODI came from just 100 balls and included 15 fours and two sixes. He also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets. Chauhan’s all-round contribution makes him one of India’s most important players.
VK Vineeth should retain his place after producing a superb 87 in the second ODI. The left-hander shared a 132-run partnership with Chauhan and helped India build a commanding total.
His six sixes during the innings showed his ability to accelerate once set, making him a valuable middle-order option.
Kushagra Ojha could continue at No. 6 after playing a valuable cameo in the second game. He smashed 34 off only 20 balls, including five fours and a six.
His aggressive approach provides India with an important boost in the final overs. Ojha also offers off-spin, giving the captain another bowling option.
Yashveer Goud is likely to retain his place after contributing with both bat and ball in the second ODI. He remained unbeaten on two runs and also picked up a wicket while bowling.
His left-arm orthodox spin gives India variety and could become increasingly important on a Rajkot surface that slows down as the innings progresses.
Manal Chauhan could continue as another spin-bowling all-rounder. He scored only one in the second ODI but bowled effectively, picking up a wicket.
His ability to contribute with both disciplines gives India useful balance and allows the team to field multiple bowling options without compromising batting depth.
Chigurupati Venkata should spearhead the bowling attack after his match-winning performance in the second ODI. The right-arm medium pacer claimed 3/64 and played a major role in restricting Australia’s chase.
He also provides lower-order batting depth, making him a valuable all-round option.
Kavya Patel could continue as one of India’s specialist pace options. He was particularly impressive in the second ODI, returning 2/23 from seven overs and finishing as India’s most economical bowler.
His ability to keep the scoring rate under control could again prove useful against Australia’s aggressive batters.
Mohit Ulva is expected to complete India’s bowling attack. He picked up an early wicket in the second ODI and finished with figures of 1/19 from seven overs.
His control with the new ball makes him a strong candidate to retain his place for the series finale.
