Kirk McKenzie should continue alongside Sadaqat at the top. He played the supporting role brilliantly in the Eliminator, remaining unbeaten on 22 as Jamaica completed the chase with 35 balls to spare.
McKenzie’s role could be slightly different against Guyana. While Sadaqat attacks aggressively, McKenzie can rotate the strike and ensure that Jamaica maintain pressure without taking unnecessary risks.
Romaine Morris is expected to retain the wicketkeeping duties and occupy the No. 3 position. He was part of the XI that comfortably defeated Barbados and provides Jamaica with another option capable of building the innings after an attacking start.
With Guyana possessing experienced bowlers such as Imran Tahir, Morris’ ability to settle the innings could become important if Jamaica lose an early wicket.
