Saint Lucia could look to attack him with Maheesh Theekshana during the middle overs, while Roston Chase may also be tempted to use his off-spin. Pooran, however, has the range to counter both options.
TKR will want their captain to bat deep and provide the finishing kick that was missing in some of their earlier matches. If Pooran gets going, a substantial score could be on the cards for the Knight Riders.
While Nicholas Pooran is the established international star, Kamil Pooran has quietly emerged as an important member of the Saint Lucia Kings’ batting unit.
The Trinidadian top-order batter provides the Kings with a combination of aggression and stability. His ability to play positively in the powerplay can take pressure off experienced players such as Roston Chase and allow the middle order to attack later in the innings.

The key for Pollard will be finding the right moment to launch. With players such as Pooran and Hales capable of scoring rapidly around him, he does not necessarily need to take risks immediately. But if he reaches the final five overs with wickets in hand, Saint Lucia’s bowlers could face a daunting challenge.
