Chahal’s best T20I figures came in a rout of England at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the decider of a three-match T20I series. Being put into bat, India posted a competitive total of 202 for 6, carried by half-centuries from MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. Chahal started his rout early, dismissing Sam Billings with the first ball of the second over. Eoin Morgan and Joe Root’s 64-run stand was broken by Chahal, who removed both. He further dismissed Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes to finish with his best T20I figures and first-ever six-wicket haul. England were bundled out for 127, losing the game by 75 runs as India completed a famous victory.
