Dubey’s case rests on one of the most dominant domestic seasons Indian first-class cricket has seen. He took 69 wickets in ten Ranji Trophy matches for Vidarbha in 2024-25, breaking the all-time single-season record of 68, at an average of 16.98 and a strike rate of 38.17.
