Glasgow Cosmic will face Amsterdam Flames in Match 12 of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026 at Sportpark Westvliet in Voorburg, Netherlands, on September 3. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:15 PM local time (6:45 PM IST). The official ETPL fixture confirms the encounter, with both sides looking to strengthen their position during the opening phase of the inaugural tournament.
Glasgow have a formidable squad on paper, featuring the likes of George Munsey, Richie Berrington, Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, Jimmy Neesham, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi. Their depth across batting and bowling makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the competition.
However, the Cosmics will be keen to improve after losing their opening ETPL fixture against Edinburgh Castle Rockers by seven wickets. They subsequently bounced back impressively against Dublin Guardians, posting 183/5 before bowling Dublin out for 150 to secure a 33-run victory.
With momentum behind them, Glasgow are expected to stick with a strong combination against Amsterdam.
Here is Glasgow Cosmic’s Predicted Playing XI for Match 12 of ETPL 2026 against Amsterdam Flames:
Jason Roy is expected to open the innings alongside George Munsey.
The Englishman was brought into the Glasgow setup specifically to provide explosive intent during the Powerplay. His ability to attack pace from the first delivery makes him an ideal partner for the left-handed Munsey. Glasgow’s official announcement highlighted Roy’s credentials as a destructive Powerplay batter, making his role at the top of the order particularly significant.
If Roy gets through the first few overs, Amsterdam’s bowlers could be in for a long evening.
Captain George Munsey should continue as the other opener.
The Scotland international is one of the most aggressive batters in the squad and brings experience of leading the side. His left-handed presence alongside Roy also gives Glasgow a useful right-left combination.
Munsey will be expected to set the tempo and ensure the Cosmics capitalise on the Powerplay.
Richie Berrington is likely to occupy the No. 3 position.
The Scotland veteran provides experience and stability after the explosive opening pair. He can anchor the innings if Glasgow lose an early wicket while also accelerating when required.
Berrington’s ability to contribute with the ball further strengthens his value to the team.
Josh Philippe could bat at No. 4 and take responsibility behind the stumps.
The Australian wicketkeeper-batter gives Glasgow another attacking option in the middle order. He is capable of keeping the scoring rate high without necessarily taking excessive risks.
His presence also provides flexibility, as he can move up the order if Glasgow need additional aggression.
Liam Livingstone should be one of Glasgow’s most important players at No. 5.
The England all-rounder is capable of taking apart both pace and spin and can change the complexion of a game within a few overs. He also provides a valuable spin-bowling option.
Livingstone’s ability to contribute in multiple departments makes him a key tactical weapon for George Munsey.
Jimmy Neesham is expected to feature at No. 6.
The New Zealand all-rounder gives Glasgow plenty of finishing power and can bowl useful medium-pace overs when required.
His experience in franchise T20 cricket makes him particularly valuable during pressure situations. Neesham’s ability to clear the ropes at the back end could prove decisive if Glasgow bat first.
Gerhard Erasmus could slot in at No. 7.
The Namibia international provides excellent all-round balance. He can contribute with off-spin and is capable of playing a flexible role with the bat.
His presence gives Munsey another option if the match requires additional bowling during the middle overs.
Michael Leask is likely to retain his place as the specialist Scottish all-rounder.
Leask is known for his aggressive batting and off-spin bowling. He can provide valuable runs towards the end of the innings while also giving Munsey another spin option.
His ability to attack makes him particularly useful in a lower-order role.
Keshav Maharaj should lead the spin attack.
The South African left-arm spinner brings considerable international experience and is capable of controlling the middle overs. His accuracy makes him difficult to attack, while his variations allow him to create wicket-taking opportunities.
Against Amsterdam’s collection of aggressive batters, Maharaj could play a crucial role in restricting the scoring rate.
Lungi Ngidi is expected to spearhead the pace attack.
The South African quick can generate bounce and pace and has considerable experience in T20 cricket. His role with the new ball will be particularly important against Amsterdam’s top order.
Ngidi can also be trusted with crucial overs at the death.
Brad Currie could complete the XI.
The Scotland seamer was one of Glasgow’s draft selections and provides another left-arm pace option. His ability to attack the stumps and vary his lengths makes him a useful complement to Ngidi.
Currie will be hoping to make an impact against a Flames batting lineup that has shown flashes of potential.
Jason Roy, George Munsey (C), Richie Berrington, Josh Philippe (WK), Liam Livingstone, Jimmy Neesham, Gerhard Erasmus, Michael Leask, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Brad Currie
